We are seeking a Java-based Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong hands-on experience in Selenium automation. The role focuses on building scalable automation frameworks, driving test coverage across UI and APIs, and ensuring high-quality releases in an Agile workplace.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java and Selenium WebDriver
Build and enhance automation frameworks using TestNG / JUnit / Maven
Automate UI, regression, and smoke test suites
Develop and execute API automation tests using RestAssured / Postman
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
Collaborate with developers on defect resolution and testability improvements
Perform root cause analysis of automation failures
Maintain test execution reports and quality metrics
Support limited manual testing when required
Required Skills & Qualifications
3–10 years of experience as an SDET / Automation Engineer
Strong programming experience in Java
Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver
Experience with automation frameworks (TestNG, JUnit)
API automation experience (RestAssured)
Familiarity with Git, Maven, Jenkins / Azure DevOps
Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
Basic SQL knowledge for backend validation
Good to Have
BDD experience (Cucumber)
Experience testing microservices architectures
Cloud testing exposure (AWS / Azure)
Performance testing basics (JMeter)
