Job Purpose
The Manager – Materials will be responsible for planning, procurement coordination, inventory control, and overall materials management to support project and business requirements. The role involves ensuring timely availability of materials, optimizing inventory levels, coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders, monitoring material movement, and maintaining compliance with organizational processes and commercial requirements.

Key Responsibilities
1. Materials Planning & Procurement Coordination

Plan and monitor material requirements in line with project schedules, business demands, and operational priorities.
Coordinate with procurement, projects, stores, and user departments to ensure timely availability of materials.
Review material indents, purchase requisitions, and procurement plans to support uninterrupted project execution and operations.
Track procurement status and expedite critical materials in coordination with sourcing / purchase teams.

2. Inventory Management





Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimum stock availability while avoiding overstocking or shortages.
Review stock positions, consumption patterns, and reorder requirements on a regular basis.
Ensure proper inventory control of raw materials, project materials, consumables, spares, and equipment, as applicable.
Drive inventory optimization and reduction of non-moving / slow-moving stock.

3. Material Receipt, Storage & Issue Monitoring

Oversee receipt, inspection coordination, storage, preservation, and issuance of materials in compliance with company procedures.
Ensure proper tracking of inward and outward movement of materials across stores / project sites.
Monitor material handling, storage conditions, and preservation practices to avoid damage, loss, or deterioration.
Coordinate with stores / site teams for proper accounting and utilization of materials.
