Overview:

As a Senior Software Engineer – Java, you will be a robust individual contributor who designs, implements, and maintains high‑quality, secure, and performant services, owns complex features from design through production, and helps elevate engineering practices within your team. This role is positioned at the Senior level in our Software Engineering career ladder, with expectations around deep technical expertise, strong execution, effective collaboration across teams,



and mentoring less‑experienced engineers.

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Java‑based services and APIs that power BHN’s payment, rewards, and commerce platforms, following our CI/CD and code quality practices.
- Translate product requirements into well‑scoped technical designs, contribute to architecture discussions, and implement solutions that are easy, reliable, and secure.
- Own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of features: design, implementation, automated testing, deployment, monitoring, and production support (including participation in on‑call rotations where applicable).
- Improve code quality and maintainability through meaningful code reviews, refactoring, documentation, and adherence to team standards.
- Work closely with product managers, architects, QA, and fellow engineers to refine requirements, estimate effort, and deliver high‑quality increments in an agile environment.
