Program Overview for Sustainable Cities and Transport
WRI India's urban development work aims to transform the way cities are planned and designed to ensure that urban development perks people, nature and climate. We focus on integrated solutions to long-standing urban challenges, leveraging evidence-based data, applied research and our network of partners and experts. We collaborate at all levels with the government, city administrations, urban stakeholders and partners to help cities become resilient, low-carbon and liveable while balancing their socio-economic goals. Job Highlight




You will support the execution of the strategic communication priorities for WRI India’s Sustainable Cities program. You will translate rigorous research and on-groundwork into high-impact narratives and multi-format communication products for online and offline communication, strengthening WRI India’s positioning at the sub-national, national and global levels.
You will be required to craft compelling messaging across multiple projects, themes, and partners, while leading end-to-end execution of communication products and other deliverables. You will manage project-based communications of WRI India’s diverse work under urban development pillar—spanning urban water and climate resilience, economic planning and development, public spaces, urban governance—translating them into cohesive, integrated storytelling tailored for varied audience sets and channels.
