1.Collect equipment and supplies -:
Collect healthcare and laboratory supplies from different departments regularly, and promptly. Sort, document, and disinfect all the collected equipment, instruments, tubes and bottles using the appropriate procedures.
2.Sterilize and disinfect -
Operate sterilization machines effectively, and ensure equipment are appropriately sterilized for reuse. Disassemble, sterilize, reassemble, and pack instruments according to the infection control guidelines.
3.Infection control arrangements -:
Monitor the sterilization process of clinical equipment and healthcare supplies to ensure quality product and faultless outcome. Record sterilizer test results, recognize disorders, and monitor expiry date; report to the Lead . Properly handle, process,



and store sterilized equipment and timely distribute to the appropriate department.
4.Maintain secure and controlled environment -:

Collaborate and coordinate with PHCC’s multidisciplinary team to maintain safety of patients in a controlled environment. Educate and guide new CSSD Technicians and trainees in performing sterilization activities and operating CSSD equipment. Liaise with the Biomedical section with regards to regular maintenance and calibration of the machines in the unit. Abide by PHCC’s safety and infection control regulations, and ensure the implementation of international CSSD standards and process practice.
