Job Overview
We are seeking a Post-Silicon Debug Tools Engineer to define and drive the next generation of silicon debug tools In this role you will drive architecture, development, deployment and support of scan and memory extraction tools for system debug environment. The ideal candidate combines outstanding Python software-development skills with a robust technical expertise in memory and scan DFT and debug architecture.
Responsibilities
Lead the architecture and development of scan and memory extraction post-silicon debug tools as a part of a larger SoC debug toolkit.
Actively collaborate with DFT architecture and design teams to deliver debug tools that communicate with pioneering DFT hardware for system debug use cases.
Define and develop debug solutions that integrate scan and memory dump flows into larger silicon debug toolkit.
Partner with silicon verification teams for end-to-end debug flow validation of scan and memory debug tools in simulation and emulation environments.
Provide training and support to post-silicon debug teams employing debug tools for issue root-cause and analysis.
Champion automation, reuse, and scalable debug methodologies that reduce time-to-root-cause.
Influence next-generation silicon architecture to ensure test and debug features are designed for observability and diagnosability.
Required Skills And Experience
BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
6+ years of experience in post-silicon validation, debug tools, or SoC bring-up.
Excellent proficiency with Python language for tool and automation development.
Competency in software development concepts including unit testing, code coverage collection, release processes and CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with Git, Gerrit, Artifactory and CloudBees platform
Strong understanding of JTAG, trace, scan, MBIST, and on-chip debug architectures.
Familiarity with SoC debug ecosystems (CoreSight, IJTAG, ELA, telemetry frameworks, etc.).
