Job Summary
Pelago Consultants LLP is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, and motivated Audit Associate to join our growing team. This role offers hands-on exposure to accounting, auditing, taxation, GST compliance, and statutory compliance, making it an excellent opportunity for CMA, CMA (USA), ACCA candidates, and Commerce graduates who are eager to build a strong foundation in finance, audit, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Bookkeeping
Maintain day-to-day books of accounts.
Record financial transactions accurately using accounting software.
Perform bank, ledger, and account reconciliations.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
2. Income Tax Compliance
Assist in the preparation and filing of Income Tax Returns (ITR).
Support the computation of taxable income.
Handle basic income tax compliance, documentation, and related activities.
3. GST Compliance




Assist with GST registration processes.
Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.).
Perform GST reconciliations.
Respond to routine GST-related queries and notices.
4. MCA & Statutory Compliance
Assist with MCA filings and ROC compliance.
Support statutory compliance assignments.
Maintain compliance documentation and records.
Perform additional accounting and compliance-related responsibilities as assigned by management.
5. Audit Support
Assist in conducting internal and statutory audits.
Prepare audit schedules, working papers, and supporting documentation.
Collect, organize, and maintain audit-related documents.
Coordinate with auditors and respond to routine audit queries.
Eligibility Criteria
CMA / CMA (USA) / ACCA (Qualified or Pursuing) or Commerce Graduate (B.Com/M.Com).
Basic knowledge of Accounting, GST, Income Tax, and statutory compliance.
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software is preferre
