Job Summary

The Dispatch Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all dispatch and outbound logistics operations to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective delivery of finished goods. The role includes managing dispatch staff, transportation, documentation, inventory coordination, customer dispatch schedules, and compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Dispatch Planning & Operations
- Plan and supervise daily dispatch activities as per production and customer delivery schedules.
- Ensure timely dispatch of finished goods while meeting customer requirements.
- Coordinate with Production, Stores, Sales, and Logistics departments for smooth dispatch operations.
- Monitor loading and unloading activities to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Ensure proper packaging, labeling, and documentation before dispatch.

Logistics & Transportation
- Coordinate with transporters for vehicle availability and on-time deliveries.
- Optimize transportation costs without compromising delivery timelines.




- Track dispatched consignments and resolve transit-related issues.
- Maintain transporter performance records and negotiate service requirements when needed.

Documentation
- Verify and maintain all dispatch documents, including:
- Delivery Challan
- Tax Invoice
- E-Way Bill
- LR (Lorry Receipt)
- Packing List
- Transport Documents
- Ensure documentation complies with company policies and statutory regulations.

Inventory Coordination
- Coordinate with Stores for the availability of finished goods.
- Ensure accurate quantity verification before dispatch.
- Reconcile dispatched quantities with inventory records.

Team Management
- Supervise dispatch executives, helpers, loaders, and drivers.
- Allocate daily work and monitor team performance.
- Train employees on dispatch procedures, safety practices, and documentation.
- Maintain discipline and productivity within the dispatch team.
