BGR Global is conducting a retained, confidential search on behalf of a client — an established name in Indian leadership advisory — who is launching a current founder-scaling platform aimed at promoter-led businesses in the ₹50–₹500 crore revenue band.
The client's identity, the platform name, and the full commercial terms are disclosed only to candidates who progress past the initial screen, under a mutual NDA.
The role
The Managing Partner will lead the new platform end-to-end. This is a co-owner role, not a hire. The successful candidate will report directly to the founder-principal and hold the P&L; of the platform from day one.
Responsibilities
- Own the platform P&L; across all commercial engines — diagnostic, advisory, and certification.
- Build the delivery organisation, including hiring and running the senior delivery team.
- Curate and manage the first cohort of certified senior advisors under the platform brand.
- Represent the platform commercially with founder-clients, ecosystem partners, and cohort candidates.
- Systematise the intellectual property so the platform runs whether or not the principal is in the room.
Who we are looking for
- 12–18 years running operations inside a professional-services, consulting, or advisory business.
- Personally sold or delivered ₹5–25 crore of advisory or B2B services engagements — not managed a category from a distance.
- Built and led a team of 10–30 people through at least one full growth cycle.
- Comfortable in the room with a ₹500 crore promoter-founder. Judgement over process.
- Fluent in the Indian promoter idiom — has worked closely with family-led business cultures and understands the family dynamics as well as the P&L.;
Typical career shapes that fit: a Big-4 partner or principal who left before Partner; a number-two at a specialist advisory boutique; a returning NRI operator who ran a business unit abroad and now wants to build something in India on their own terms.
