About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Cisco Secure Workload Engineer with deep production experience deploying and managing Cisco Secure Workload, formerly known as Tetration.
This is not a junior implementation or lab-support role. The selected consultant will serve as the primary subject-matter expert responsible for deployment, agent rollout, application dependency mapping, policy design, micro-segmentation enforcement, troubleshooting, and knowledge transfer.
The consultant will work directly with the client’s infrastructure, application, networking, and cybersecurity teams to build and operate a secure workload protection workplace without disrupting production services.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, administer, and maintain Cisco Secure Workload in SaaS or on-premises environments
- Plan and execute Secure Workload agent deployments across Windows and Linux servers
- Support workloads running on-premises, in virtualized environments,
and in public cloud platforms
- Perform application dependency mapping and traffic-flow discovery
- Analyze east-west traffic patterns and establish application communication baselines
- Design and validate micro-segmentation and zero-trust security policies
- Move policies safely from discovery and simulation into production enforcement
- Partner with application owners to validate policies and manage exceptions
- Troubleshoot agent deployment, telemetry, connectivity, and policy enforcement issues
- Monitor policy compliance and continuously tune workload security controls
- Integrate Cisco Secure Workload with surrounding infrastructure and security technologies
- Develop automation and reporting using Python, REST APIs, or related scripting tools
- Create architecture documentation, operational procedures, runbooks, and support guides
