We are seeking an experienced Core Database Administrator (DBA) with a solid background in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) . The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise database environments, ensuring high availability, security, performance, and scalability across on-prem and cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, monitor, and maintain core database systems across OCI and GCP environments.
- Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and migrations.
- Manage database performance tuning, capacity planning, and optimization.
- Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Ensure database security, access controls, encryption, and compliance with organizational policies.
- Troubleshoot database issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
- Support high availability (HA) and replication technologies (e.g., RAC, Data Guard, cloud-native HA).
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure,



and DevOps teams for smooth deployments.
- Automate routine DBA tasks using scripts and cloud-native tools.
- Monitor cloud costs related to database usage and recommend optimization strategies.
- Maintain documentation, SOPs, and operational runbooks.

Requirements Required Skills Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience as a Core DBA in enterprise environments.
- Strong expertise in Oracle databases (or relevant core RDBMS).
- Hands-on experience with OCI (Autonomous DB, Compute, Storage, Networking).
- Working experience with GCP database services (Cloud SQL, Bare Metal, Compute Engine).
- Proficiency in backup and recovery , performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Strong scripting skills (Shell, Python, or similar).
- Understanding of cloud security best practices and IAM.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
