Aurigene Pharmaceutical Services is seeking a highly motivated
Scientist – Peptide Chemistry
to join our Research & Development team in Bengaluru. The successful candidate will contribute to peptide synthesis programs by designing, executing, and optimizing synthetic routes for peptide molecules and supporting drug discovery projects through innovative scientific solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute the synthesis of peptide molecules with the required purity and quantity to meet project objectives.
- Perform peptide synthesis, purification, and characterization using appropriate analytical techniques.
- Develop and optimize methodologies for the synthesis of functionalized peptides and related intermediates.
- Conduct solution-phase synthesis of key intermediates for peptide development programs.
- Analyze and interpret analytical data to confirm the identity and quality of synthesized compounds.
- Troubleshoot synthetic and process-related challenges to ensure timely project delivery.
- Maintain accurate experimental records and prepare technical documentation.
- Adhere to laboratory safety, industrial hygiene, and EHS guidelines.
Qualifications
- M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry from a recognized university.
- 2–12 years of relevant industry experience in Peptide Chemistry.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Hands-on experience in peptide synthesis and characterization.
- Sound knowledge of synthetic organic chemistry concepts and techniques.
- Experience with peptide purification and analytical characterization methods.
- Solid problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced research environment.
