Head – Accounts & Commercial Operations | Design-Led Architecture & Interiors Practice

This isn't a CFO seat, and it isn't a back-office one either. It's the space in between – someone with genuine command over Tally, GST, and compliance who also has the maturity to sit across the table from a Group Leader, read a contract, and turn "payment is stuck" into a resolved case.

You'll inherit an accounts function ready to be built into a system: an outstanding invoice tracker that needs real owners and deadlines, monthly reports that need to hold up under partner scrutiny, and a new ERP rollout that needs someone willing to hold ~15 senior colleagues accountable for clean data entry.

What you'll actually own
- Run day-to-day accounts, GST, taxation, and Tally-based compliance with zero hand-holding
- Rebuild the outstanding invoice tracker into something with real owners, next actions, and deadlines
- Read contracts at a working level and connect billing milestones to project deliverables
- Lead the ERP implementation — including the harder part:



getting ~15 people to actually enter clean data
- Own client-side commercial coordination on payment realisation — structured escalation across a ~35-project portfolio, not volume calling
- Delegate to and develop a small in-house accounts team
- Convert every recurring finance mess into a checklist, tracker, or process that doesn't need you to repeat yourself

What gets you shortlisted
- 10–12+ years in accounts/finance operations, ideally with CA / CA Inter / equivalent depth
- Real command over Tally, GST, and taxation — not just review-level familiarity
- Comfort translating money into language a designer or architect will actually act on
- A track record of turning fragmented, manual systems into structured ones
- Written English sharp enough to hold a firm, professional payment conversation without sounding transactional
