Key Responsibilities

Database Administration Performance:
- Serve as the primary administrator for PostgreSQL and DocumentDB instances, ensuring uptime, integrity, and performance.
- Assist with the administration and monitoring of Databricks catalogs, clusters, and jobs.



Monitor, analyze, and proactively address database performance and reliability issues. Develop and implement preventative strategies to minimize downtime and optimize resource usage.
- Manage database updates, patches, and migrations to ensure platform stability and scalability.
- Enforce security and access control best practices across data platforms.
- Data Governance Application Support: Review and design schema structures and data models for new and existing applications.
- Collaborate with application developers and engineering teams to ensure effective database integration and usage.
- Provide input on data lifecycle management, storage optimization, and retention policies.
- Work with data governance teams to document technical metadata and lineage. Support compliance efforts by ensuring database practices adhere to HIPAA, GDPR, GCP, and other relevant regulations.
