Job Purpose

The Project Control Manager will be responsible for planning, monitoring, controlling, and reporting all project control activities for the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project at the NTPC Mouda Project Site. The role ensures timely execution within the approved schedule and budget by integrating planning, cost control, progress monitoring, risk management, MIS reporting, and coordination with internal teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

Planning & Scheduling
- Develop and maintain the integrated project schedule using Primavera P6/MS Project.
- Prepare Level 1 to Level 4 project schedules.
- Establish project baselines and monitor schedule performance.
- Track critical path activities and recommend mitigation plans.
- Conduct look-ahead planning (2-week/4-week/monthly).

Project Monitoring & Control
- Monitor engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning progress.
- Measure physical progress against planned milestones.
- Analyze schedule variances and prepare recovery plans.




- Conduct weekly and monthly project review meetings.
- Prepare progress dashboards and KPI reports.

Cost Control
- Monitor project budget and expenditure.
- Track committed cost vs actual cost.
- Prepare cost forecasts and estimate at completion (EAC).
- Identify cost overruns and recommend corrective actions.
- Support project billing and revenue recognition.

Project Reporting
- Prepare Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Progress Reports.
- Present project status to Corporate Management and Client.
- Develop MIS reports covering:
- Progress
- Cost
- Resource utilization
- Productivity
- Risk status
- Critical issues

Risk & Change Management
- Maintain project risk register.
- Identify schedule and cost risks.
- Monitor change orders and variation claims.
- Support claim management and extension of time (EOT) documentation.
