Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced
Azure API Management (APIM) Lead Consultant
to architect, design, and implement enterprise-grade API solutions on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have robust expertise in Azure API Management, .NET technologies, cloud-native architecture, microservices, integration patterns, and Azure platform services. This role will be responsible for leading API strategy, governance, security, and implementation while mentoring development teams and collaborating with business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of API solutions using
Azure API Management (APIM)
.
- Develop and maintain backend services using
C#, .NET Core, and ASP.NET Core
.
- Design, develop, and manage
RESTful APIs
and
microservices-based architectures
.
- Build and deploy serverless integrations and APIs using
Azure Functions
.
- Define and implement API security standards including:
- OAuth 2.0
- OpenID Connect (OIDC)
- JWT Authentication
- API Keys
- Rate Limiting and Throttling




- Configure APIM policies for:
- Security
- Traffic Management
- Caching
- Request/Response Transformation
- Monitoring and Analytics
- Integrate APIs with Azure services such as:
- Azure Functions
- Logic Apps
- Service Bus
- Event Grid
- Storage Accounts
- Key Vault
- Azure Monitor
- Design, optimize, and manage databases using
Microsoft SQL Server
.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and troubleshoot database performance issues using
SSMS
.
- Establish API governance, lifecycle management, versioning, and documentation standards.
- Collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, architecture, and business teams to deliver scalable solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, architectural reviews, and technical decision-making.
- Ensure high standards of application security, scalability, reliability, and performance.
