About the Role

The Infra Architect will lead the design and implementation of IT infrastructure architecture, focusing on server, storage, and network architecture, virtualization, software-defined data centers, and cloud implementations.

Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end infrastructure architecture design covering systems analysis, security hardening, and network design for the UIDAI CIDR Data Centre.
- Oversee physical and virtual DC operations encompassing 1,000+ servers, SAN/NAS storage, and multi-tier networking equipment.
- Design and enforce high-availability (HA), fault-tolerant, and multi-site Disaster Recovery (DR) architectures across production, UAT, QA, Dev, and Test environments.
- Evaluate, recommend,



and implement data centre modernization strategies aligned to UIDAI CIDR infrastructure.
- Assist UIDAI CIDR in planning, execution, and migration to cloud and hybrid cloud-based data centre environments.
- Finalize hardware/software specifications for hybrid and cloud-native infrastructure.
- Assess solutions offered by vendors through formal RFP/RFQ/PoC processes.
- Onboard current vendors and solution providers; conduct POCs and UAT as required.
- Drive continuous cost optimization across hardware, software, and DC operations.
- Develop and execute technology roadmaps for Automation, Network Monitoring, Cloud Infrastructure, and Security Operations.
- Drive containerization adoption (Docker, Kubernetes) for workload portability and scalability.
- Define and enforce IT technology standards, architectural methodology, and governance processes.
