What you will do
- Plan and run daily production against the dispatch schedule, across multiple grades and batch sizes.
- Lead shift teams and operators, and allocate manpower on the shop floor.
- Own batch records, process parameters, yield, and in-process controls for every batch.
- Coordinate with QA and QC for in-process and finished-goods clearance before dispatch.
- Track raw material consumption, control process losses, and drive yield improvement.
- Hold GMP discipline, housekeeping, and safety on the floor, including secure handling of acids and alkalis.
- Keep production, maintenance, and utility logs audit-ready at all times.
- Plan preventive maintenance with the utility team to keep downtime low.
What we are looking for
- B.Sc or M.Sc in Chemistry, or B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering.
- At least 5 years in chemical manufacturing, with 2+ years in a supervisory role.
- Hands-on experience with batch processing of inorganic chemicals: drying, crystallisation, filtration, blending, and packing.
- A solid grasp of GMP, batch documentation, and plant safety.
- The ability to lead a shift and hit dispatch commitments without cutting corners on quality.
