The Economics Society at the Department of Economics, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Evening College, is a well-established academic fellowship committed to both intellectual and co-curricular growth. Role Description
This is a full time, on-site role based in Kanpur focused on food processing, product development, and employment generation within the broader economic and agribusiness context. The role involves designing and supervising food processing workflows, coordinating with local producers and agribusiness stakeholders,



and ensuring that products meet quality and safety standards. The individual will participate in developing new food products, improving packaging and storage solutions, and identifying value-addition opportunities that support rural and urban employment. Daily responsibilities include data collection and analysis on food supply chains, preparing reports and documentation, engaging with community partners, and supporting training programs that promote sustainable livelihoods in the food sector. The role may also involve collaboration on research projects, policy recommendations, and student-led initiatives within the Department of Economics.

Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Food Industry and Agribusiness, with the ability to connect production, markets, and employment generation.
- Practical experience or strong academic background in Food Processing and Quality Control, including familiarity with hygiene and safet
