Job Description
A Flexera tool consultant / developer is responsible for providing technical expertise and support in the implementation, configuration, and potential customization of Flexera software solutions. Their job involves collaborating with clients to understand their business requirements and translating them into functional specifications for the Flexera tool.As a consultant, they will advise clients on the best practices and strategies for utilizing the Flexera tool to optimize their software asset management, software license optimization, and IT asset management processes. They will also guide clients in designing and implementing workflows and automation processes using the Flexera tool.Additionally, a Flexera tool consultant / developer will be involved in developing configurations, extensions, and integrations to meet specific client needs. This includes writing scripts, creating reports, and designing dashboards within the Flexera tool.Key responsibilities of a Flexera tool consultant / developer may include:Platform Administration & Governance
- User Access & Role Management: Define, administer, and periodically review user roles, permissions, and access policies within the Flexera platform.
- Platform Upgrades & Patch Management: Plan, test, and execute version upgrades, patches, and hotfixes to ensure stability and security.
- System Health Monitoring: Establish monitoring and alerting for Flexera platform performance, data ingestion, and integration workflows.
- Audit & Compliance Reporting: Proactively prepare audit-ready reports and evidence for internal/external compliance reviews.
Data Management & Quality Assurance
- Data Normalization & Cleansing: Ensure software inventory and entitlement data is accurate, deduplicated, and aligned with procurement sources.
- Ongoing License Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations between discovered usage and purchased entitlements.
- Master Data Governance: Align Flexera data structures with CM
