Job Summary
We are looking for a System & Network Administrator (Fresher) to provide onsite IT support at a client location in Chennai. The candidate will handle end-user support, basic system and network administration tasks, and ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations. This role is ideal for enthusiastic freshers who are eager to learn and grow in IT infrastructure and networking.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for:
- Desktops and laptops (hardware & OS-level issues)
- Printers, scanners, and copiers
- Wireless routers and networking devices
- Perform basic Linux administration:
- User management
- Service monitoring
- Basic command-line troubleshooting
- Assist in firewall management activities:
- Basic rule monitoring and verification
- Coordination with senior teams or vendors for firewall changes
- Ensure internet uptime and monitor network connectivity.
- Monitor and maintain point-to-point connection stability.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of LAN, Wi-Fi, and connectivity issues.
- Coordinate with sales and service vendors for hardware, ISP, firewall, and networking-related issues.
- Provide IT support to users at all levels, from laymen to senior management.
- Maintain basic documentation of assets, issues, and resolutions.
Support & Work Schedule
- Monthly one Sunday support is required.
- Compensatory off (Comp-off) will be provided on a weekday.
- Work hours: 10:00 AM to 08:00 PM, onsite at the client location.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Fresher with basic knowledge of:
- Windows and basic Linux operating systems
- Networking fundamentals (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, routers)
- Basic firewall concepts
- Candidates residing in Chennai or nearby areas are preferred.
- Valuable communication and customer-handling skills.
