The Purchase Planning team at Tata 1mg plays a critical role in ensuring seamless product availability across our Fulfillment Centres, Retail Pharmacies and Healthcare ecosystem. The team is responsible for demand forecasting, inventory planning, procurement, vendor management, and maintaining optimal stock levels across warehouses and stores. By closely collaborating with Retail Operations, Warehousing, Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Finance teams, the Purchase Planning team ensures timely replenishment, minimizes stock-outs and excess inventory, and drives efficient working capital management. The team focuses on data-driven planning, supplier relationship management, and process optimization to ensure the right products are available at the right place and at the right time, enabling a superior customer experience and supporting business growth.

About the Role:





We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented qualified to manage procurement activities for hospital pharmacy products, including pharmaceuticals, surgical consumables, implants, and other medical supplies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for strategic sourcing, vendor management, inventory planning, and ensuring uninterrupted product availability while optimizing costs and maintaining operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of pharma, surgical items, implants, and other hospital pharmacy products.
- Manage sourcing, vendor development, negotiations, and procurement operations.
- Maintain drug formularies and ensure product standardization.
- Plan inventory through ROL (Reorder Level), replenishment, and stock optimization.
- Ensure availability while minimizing stock-outs and excess inventory.
- Monitor and improve pharmacy KPIs, including fill rate, inventory turns, margins, stock availability, and vendor performance.
