Role Description
The Pharmacy Incharge role at Hosp. Hospitalar in Hajo is a full-time, on-site position responsible for overseeing daily pharmacy operations and ensuring safe, accurate dispensing of medications. The Pharmacy Incharge supervises pharmacy staff, manages inventory and stock levels, verifies prescriptions, and maintains compliance with regulatory and hospital policies. This role involves coordinating with physicians and nurses to clarify prescriptions, monitoring medication storage conditions, and maintaining detailed records and documentation. The Pharmacy Incharge also supports patient counseling on medication use, manages immunization services where applicable, and promotes high standards of customer service and professional ethics within the pharmacy.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Pharmacy and Pharmacy Practice, with the ability to oversee clinical and operational aspects of a hospital pharmacy.
- Proficiency in handling and verifying Prescriptions, including assessing drug interactions,
dosages, and ensuring safe dispensing.
- Demonstrated Customer Service skills, with a focus on clear communication, patient counseling, and resolving concerns professionally.
- Experience or training in Immunization services, including proper storage, handling, and administration protocols, as applicable.
- Relevant academic qualification in Pharmacy (Diploma, B.Pharm, or higher) and valid registration/license as required by local regulations.
- Prior experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting, preferably in a supervisory or incharge role.
- Ability to maintain accurate records, manage inventory efficiently, and comply with safety, legal, and quality standards.
- Solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
