Purpose of Position
- The job incumbent is responsible for providing functional leadership and strategic direction to the Health, Safety, Security, and Workplace (HSSE) program across the South Asia Region (India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka).
- This role report to and advises the Senior Vice President on the implementation of region-wide HSSE strategies, directives, policies, and standards.
- The incumbent also develops and monitors HSSE programs tailored to the specific needs of the region and reports on HSSE performance to senior management.

Major Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the HSSE network within the CIF division of the South Asia Region
- Regularly assess HSSE conditions across the region and provide recommendations for improvement, including prevention and control strategies
- Promote continuous improvement in all aspects of HSSE across the region
- Advise senior management on strategic HSSE issues and support the implementation of HSSE initiatives
- Identify and disseminate HSSE best practices within the CIF division




- Implement incident risk identification and management tools and techniques
- Ensure compliance with all applicable HSSE regulatory requirements
- Manage the HSSE budget and report on HSSE KPIs to corporate, divisional, and zonal HSSE management
- Build a competent, resilient and agile HSSE team, fostering a culture of simplicity, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Ensure effective HSSE management through the coordination and support of country/regional HSSE representatives
- Communicate local safety, health, and security alerts and deploy HSSE campaigns through the country/regional HSSE representatives
- Provide HSSE KPI updates and support regional CSR initiatives in line with the organization's priorities
- Implement corporate standards and policies within the area of responsibility, including the Code of Ethics, BV Values, and compliance with internal and external requirements
- Collaborate with the leadership and regional tea
