Job Title: Millwright Fitter

Job Summary

John Distilleries Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a skilled and motivated Millwright Fitter to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment used in the distillery and production plant. The successful candidate will ensure maximum equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and maintain high standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, align, and commission industrial machinery.
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on mechanical equipment.
- Repair and maintain pumps, gearboxes, compressors, motors, valves, and rotating equipment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs;, and equipment manuals.
- Perform shaft alignment, bearing replacement, and equipment overhauling.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and implement corrective actions.
- Use precision measuring instruments and hand/power tools effectively.
- Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.




- Follow company safety procedures, GMP, and housekeeping standards.
- Maintain maintenance records and report equipment performance to supervisors.

Qualifications
- ITI in Fitter/Millwright or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2–5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a distillery, beverage, FMCG, or manufacturing plant.
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems is preferred.

Skills Required
- Robust mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Ability to read technical drawings and maintenance manuals.
- Familiarity with rotating equipment maintenance.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.

Working Conditions
- Work at the manufacturing facility located in Cuncolim Industrial Estate, South Goa.
- Shift duties, overtime, and emergency breakdown maintenance may be required.
