It builds capacity in the sector through training programs, technical advisory services, and grassroots community WASH programs, and runs community WASH programs in 15 locations across 8 states and 1 union territory. WASH Institute also supports central, state, and local governments in implementing schemes like SBM, JJM, and AMRUT.

Role

A finance role for the School Water and Sanitation project in Bhadrachalam, responsible for managing accounts, budgets, donor reporting, and financial compliance.

Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain the accounting system covering financial management, analysis, internal controls, and reporting
- Manage financial transactions between vendors and donors
- Maintain reimbursement records for accounting and tax purposes




- Monitor expenses closely to ensure spending stays within budget across all line items
- Guide the team on procurement requests and provide financial advice to program management
- Handle financial audits for the project
- Prepare financial reports for donors and submit them on time
- Maintain files and documents to meet legal and statutory requirements
- Prepare books of accounts and financial statements, including receipts and payments, variance reports, budgets, TDS, and bank reconciliation
- Support administrative tasks as needed and take on other financial responsibilities assigned by the line manager

Requirements
- M. Com or B. Com degree from a recognized university
- 3 to 4 years of work experience in the development sector or NGOs
- Strong knowledge of Tally, MS Office, and Microsoft Teams
- Fluent in Hindi, English, and Telugu, both spoken and written
