About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced
Project Manager
to oversee payroll processing operations and ensure smooth delivery of client projects. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in
payroll management
, possess excellent
team leadership skills
, and demonstrate strong
client coordination abilities
. This role requires a proactive qualified capable of managing multiple priorities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution of payroll processes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage end-to-end payroll processing
for multiple clients.
- Supervise and guide the payroll team to ensure accurate and timely processing of monthly payroll activities.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external clients for data collection, validation, and issue resolution.
- Manage client communications effectively—understand requirements, address queries, and provide timely updates.
- Plan and allocate team tasks to ensure deadlines and service-level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Review payroll reports, statutory compliance submissions (PF, ESI, PT, TDS, etc.),



and ensure adherence to legal and company standards.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and client satisfaction.
- Handle escalations and troubleshoot payroll discrepancies in coordination with the client and internal teams.
- Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews to maintain operational excellence.
- Prepare and present project status reports and performance metrics to management.
- Support new client transitions and onboarding documentation.

Key Skills & Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of
payroll processes, statutory compliances
, and related systems.
- Proven experience in
team management
and
client handling
within the payroll or HR operations domain.
- Hands-on experience with
Ascent Payroll
software will be an added value. Helps in new client transition
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
