Qualification:
- B.Sc. Nursing / GNM from a recognized institution.
- Valid State Nursing Council Registration.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Certification – Mandatory.
- BLS Certification (Preferred).
- Minimum 1–2 years of pediatric, emergency, or school health nursing experience.

Job Summary:

The Staff Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive healthcare services to students and school staff. The role includes first aid, emergency response, health assessments, medication administration, health education, and coordination with parents, school authorities, and hospital teams. The nurse must be competent in managing pediatric emergencies using PALS protocols and promoting a protected and healthy school workplace.

Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Responsibilities
- Provide immediate first aid and emergency care to sick or injured students and staff.
- Assess, monitor, and manage pediatric emergencies in accordance with PALS guidelines.
- Perform routine health assessments and maintain student health records.




- Administer prescribed medications and treatments as per physician's orders.
- Monitor students with chronic medical conditions such as asthma, epilepsy, diabetes, and allergies.
- Identify signs of communicable diseases and implement infection prevention measures.
- Coordinate emergency referrals and ambulance services when required.

School Health Services
- Conduct vision, hearing, height, weight, and general health screening programs.
- Maintain updated medical records, immunization records, and health documentation.
- Monitor students returning after illness or hospitalization.
- Maintain and regularly inspect the school's first aid kits and emergency equipment.
- Ensure availability and functionality of emergency medications and supplies.

Health Education
- Conduct awareness sessions on:
- Personal hygiene
- Nutrition
- Hand hygiene
- Mental well-being
- Menstrual hygiene
- Infection prevention
- First aid and CPR awareness
- Promote healthy
