National Legal Manager - Business Legal

Key Result Areas
- Prepare organization level legal policy for LAP.
- Provide legal support to all business verticals, including LAP and other secured product businesses.
- Advise management on legal implications of business strategies, products, and operational initiatives.
- Interpret laws, regulations, and RBI guidelines applicable to NBFC operations.
- Design & implement legal deviation matrix.
- Draft location specific policies & processes.
- Monitor changes in laws, RBI circulars, and other regulatory guidelines affecting the NBFC sector.
- Lead team of legal managers across territories.
- Work closely with Compliance, Risk, and Operations teams to ensure implementation of regulatory changes.
- Support internal audits and regulatory inspections from a legal perspective.
- Prepare legal drafts as per business requirements.
- Support digital lending initiatives, fintech collaborations, co-lending, and partnership models.




- Coordinate with litigation teams and external legal counsel on business-related disputes.
- Identify potential legal risks in business transactions.
- Recommend preventive legal controls and policy improvements.
- Develop legal templates and standard operating procedures.
- Manage relationships with external law firms, advocates, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Prepare legal advisories and guidance notes for business teams.

Required Skills
- Thorough knowledge of RBI regulations applicable to NBFCs.
- Expertise in contract drafting and negotiation.
- Strong understanding of lending laws and documentation.
- In-depth knowledge of market competition
- Excellent legal drafting and analytical skills.
- Solid stakeholder management abilities.
- Sound commercial acumen and business orientation.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
