Most engineers spend their career building what someone else designed.
This is not that.
JX Marine Technologies is an Indian deep-tech OEM developing the next generation of electric marine propulsion systems for India's coastal commercial fleet. The problem is validated through two months of primary field research. The market is real and largely untouched. The founding engineer has the domain knowledge, technical research background, and community connection to lead this. What is missing is one engineer who wants to own the build from day one.
What this role actually is:
Full engineering ownership from the ground up. No inherited architecture. No legacy codebase. No one telling you how it has always been done. Just a hard problem, a validated market, and the freedom to solve it the right way.
Who we are looking for:
Someone with hands-on depth in power electronics, embedded systems, battery architecture, or motor control.
Someone who gets more satisfaction from solving a problem nobody has solved than from optimising something that already works. Someone who enjoys taking research-backed ideas into real hardware that operates in demanding real-world conditions.
This is not a salaried position. This is a founding role with full engineering ownership and equity from day one.
If you are a deep-tech engineer, a marine enthusiast, a strong graduate, or a student from a top engineering institution looking to build a serious long-term career in deep-tech hardware and this space excites you, reach out.
The work is hard. The problem is real. The chance is significant.
