Roles and Responsibilities :
- Prepare and review journal entries, adjustments, and other financial statements related to revenue recognition.
- Analyze contracts, agreements, and customer correspondence to determine when revenue can be recognized under ASC 606.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., sales, product development) to identify potential issues with deferred revenue recognition.
- Develop and maintain processes for tracking and reporting on deferred revenue balances.
Job Requirements :
- 3-12 years of experience in revenue accounting or a related field.
- Robust understanding of ASC 606 and its application in software companies.
- Experience with deferred revenue recognition principles and practices.
- Proficiency in preparing complex journal entries and adjustments.
