About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior US Tax Preparer (Individual Tax) to join our growing tax team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in preparing US individual tax returns, a strong understanding of IRS regulations, and the ability to deliver accurate and timely tax filings while maintaining high-quality client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review US Individual Income Tax Returns (Forms 1040 and related schedules).
- Prepare tax returns accurately in compliance with US Federal and State tax regulations.
- Gather, review, and organize client financial and tax-related documents.
- Identify missing information and communicate with clients to obtain required documentation.
- Perform tax research and apply relevant tax laws to individual tax returns.
- Assist in tax planning and identify tax-saving opportunities for clients.
- Respond to IRS notices and assist in resolving tax-related matters.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned tax engagements while meeting strict deadlines.
- Maintain accurate tax records and documentation.
- Collaborate with managers and team members to improve workflow and service quality.
- Stay updated with changes in US tax laws, IRS regulations, and filing requirements.
- Mentor and support junior tax preparers whenever required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in US Individual Tax Preparation.
- Strong knowledge of US Individual Tax Returns (Form 1040), Schedule A, B, C, D, E, and related forms.
- Valuable understanding of US Federal and State tax regulations.
- Experience preparing tax returns for individuals with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in US tax software such as CCH Axcess, UltraTax, Lacerte, ProSeries, GoSystem Tax
