The Role:
You'll be the senior hands-on engineer building the platform across both tracks, while leading a small development team in India.
•
Develop SCADA application logic: data acquisition, alarm handling, historian integration, condition monitoring, and KPI/analytics — initially in WinCC OA (training on the job; prior experience not required), increasingly on the NextGen open-source stack (node-opcua, MQTT/Sparkplug B, TimescaleDB).
•
Build AI and predictive capability into ARGUS: anomaly detection and predictive maintenance models on crane drive and condition data, and the on-premise AI diagnostic agent (LLM with tool-calling against live SCADA data, traces, and documentation).
•
Integrate with the PLC/drive layer (S7-1500, PROFINET, drives) and validate everything against the crane simulation framework before release.
•
Lead the two-person team: planning, code reviews, mentoring, and quality gating; translate architecture into sized work packages and report progress and risks to the lead architect.




Responsibilities and Requirements:
•
A strong senior SCADA Developer first: ~5 years of professional development experience, clean structured code, and a track record of shipping and owning systems end-to-end.
•
Solid grounding in data-centric backends: SQL (PostgreSQL preferred), time-series data, APIs, JavaScript/HTML frontends; Node.js and Python a plus.
•
Practical interest or experience in applied ML / predictive analytics — anomaly detection, condition-based maintenance, or LLM integration.
•
Industrial automation, SCADA, or PLC exposure is a strong plus, not a prerequisite — we'll teach the OT layer (OPC UA, MQTT, PROFINET, WinCC OA) to someone who learns fast and verifies before coding.

Experience leading or mentoring developers; robust written and spoken English for distributed collaboration.
