Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Application Support Engineer with strong expertise in

PLSQL, Unix/Linux, and ITIL-based support processes. The candidate will be

responsible for providing L2/L3 production support, troubleshooting issues, and

ensuring smooth functioning of business-critical applications.

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience in PL/SQL (Advanced querying, procedures,

functions, performance tuning)

• Good knowledge of Unix/Linux commands and workplace

• Experience in Application Support / Production Support

• Knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management)

• Hands-on experience in Shell Scripting (Bash scripting)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide L2/L3 support for production applications and ensure SLA adherence

• Analyze and resolve production incidents, defects, and service requests

• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures





• Write and optimize SQL/PLSQL queries for troubleshooting and data fixes

• Develop and maintain shell scripts for automation and monitoring

• Work closely with development, database, and infrastructure teams

• Monitor application health and proactively identify issues

• Participate in change management, release deployments, and maintenance

activities

• Ensure adherence to ITIL processes and documentation standards

Good to Have Skills:

• Knowledge of Oracle Database / DBA concepts

• Basic understanding of Java

• Experience with monitoring tools and job scheduling tools

• Exposure to batch processing and data pipelines

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Ability to work in 24/7 support environment (if required)

• Good communication and stakeholder management skills

• Prior experience in handling critical production environments
