Job Description: Quality Assurance / Quality Engineering (QA/QE) Engineer
Must-Have Qualifications & Skills
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Equivalent practical experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Engineering may also be considered.
Key Skills
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Engineering across manual and automation testing.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing lifecycle, defect lifecycle, and software development lifecycle (SDLC/STLC).
- Hands-on experience in designing, developing, and executing test plans, test scenarios, and test cases based on business and functional requirements.
- Robust experience in functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, system testing, smoke testing, sanity testing, and UAT support.
- Experience in test automation using tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, WebDriver.io, Cypress, or equivalent.
- Good knowledge of API testing using tools such as Postman, SoapUI,



REST Assured, or similar.
- Experience working with both RESTful and SOAP APIs.
- Strong knowledge of SQL queries for data validation, backend testing, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into effective test cases and acceptance criteria.
- Experience in identifying, analysing, logging, tracking, and reporting defects using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally, or equivalent.
- Strong defect analysis skills with the ability to collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and cross-functional teams for issue resolution.
- Experience in creating and maintaining regression test suites, integration test suites, and test data.
- Ability to participate in requirement walkthroughs, design discussions, sprint ceremonies, and release planning.
