Role Overview

The Vehicle Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that finished vehicles meet company quality standards and customer expectations before shipment. This role focuses on vehicle inspection, quality auditing, defect analysis, root cause investigation, and continuous improvement activities to enhance overall vehicle quality performance. The engineer will work closely with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Supplier Quality, and other cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct quality inspections and audits of finished vehicles at End-of-Line (EOL), Vehicle Audit, and Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) stages.
- Identify, classify, and document vehicle defects related to body, paint, trim, electrical systems, chassis, and vehicle functionality.
- Perform root cause analysis using quality tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, Pareto Analysis, and 8D methodology.
- Coordinate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.




- Monitor quality performance indicators, including Defects Per Vehicle (DPV), First Pass Yield (FPY), and Audit Scores.
- Analyze quality data and defect trends to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Verify the effectiveness of corrective actions and ensure closure of quality concerns.
- Support customer complaint investigations and field quality issue resolution when required.
- Develop, maintain, and improve vehicle inspection standards, checklists, and quality procedures.
- Participate in internal and external quality audits and support compliance with IATF 16949 and company quality requirements.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a Quality Engineer position or equivalent role within the automotive industry.
