Job Profile Senior Manager – Design

The Senior Manager – Design is responsible for leading the architectural design and

coordination of hospitality projects from concept to completion. The role ensures that

designs align with brand standards, operational requirements, statutory regulations, project

budgets, and construction timelines while maintaining the highest standards of aesthetics,

functionality, and guest experience.

The incumbent will work closely with renowned architects, consultants, project

management teams, and construction teams to deliver world-class hospitality

developments including luxury hotels, resorts, serviced apartments, and mixed-use

developments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design Planning & Concept Development

• Lead architectural planning and conceptualization of hospitality projects.

• Review project feasibility considering site conditions, project brief, hotel brand

standards, market positioning, and commercial viability.

• Coordinate with Principal Architects and Design Consultants to finalize optimized

design solutions.





• Ensure project design meets operational requirements of hotel operators.

2. Design Management & Coordination

• Coordinate with Architectural, Structural, MEP, Interior Design, Landscape, Faade,

Kitchen, Lighting, and Signage consultants.

• Ensure timely issuance of coordinated Valuable for Construction (GFC) drawings.

• Review consultant drawings and provide technical comments within agreed

timelines.

• Resolve interdisciplinary design conflicts before execution.

3. Hospitality Design Compliance

• Ensure compliance with National Building Code (NBC), local building by-laws, fire

safety regulations, accessibility standards, environmental norms, and hotel operator

requirements.

• Coordinate statutory approvals with government authorities.

• Ensure designs comply with international hospitality brand guidelines wherever

applicable.
