Key Responsibilities

Patient Care
- Assess, monitor, and document patient health conditions.
- Provide direct nursing care to patients as per physician orders and nursing protocols.
- Administer medications, injections, IV fluids, blood products, and treatments safely and accurately.
- Monitor vital signs and promptly report any abnormal findings to the concerned physician.
- Assist patients with daily living activities when required.

Clinical Procedures
- Assist doctors during examinations, procedures, and emergencies.
- Perform nursing procedures such as catheterization, wound dressing, suctioning, nebulization, and specimen collection.
- Prepare patients for surgeries, investigations, and diagnostic procedures.
- Ensure proper post-operative care and monitoring.

Documentation & Records
- Maintain accurate nursing records and patient documentation.
- Record medication administration and treatment details in the Hospital Information System (HIS).
- Prepare nursing reports and handover notes during shift changes.
- Ensure confidentiality of patient information.





Infection Control & Patient Safety
- Follow hospital infection prevention and control guidelines.
- Maintain hand hygiene and standard precautions.
- Ensure proper disposal of biomedical waste.
- Identify and report patient safety incidents, medication errors, and adverse events.

Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with doctors, nursing teams, pharmacy, laboratory, and other departments.
- Educate patients and attendants regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
- Participate in multidisciplinary patient care meetings.

Emergency & Critical Care Support
- Respond effectively during medical emergencies and code situations.
- Provide Basic Life Support (BLS) and assist in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) when required.
- Ensure emergency equipment and crash carts are readily available and functional.

Qualifications
- B.Sc Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc Nursing / General Nursing & Midwifer
