Role Description
The Purchasing Engineer is a full time, on-site role based in Tumkur, responsible for managing and optimizing procurement activities for materials, components, and services. Day-to-day tasks include evaluating supplier quotations, issuing and tracking purchase orders, coordinating with production and engineering teams to understand material requirements, and ensuring timely availability of goods. The role involves analyzing price, quality, and delivery terms, maintaining accurate purchasing records,



and supporting vendor development and performance reviews. The Purchasing Engineer will also assist in purchase planning, cost optimization initiatives, and adherence to company policies and industry standards.

Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Purchasing Processes and Purchase Management to handle end-to-end procurement activities effectively.
- Candidates should possess skills in Purchase Planning and Purchase Orders to forecast material needs and manage order creation and follow-up.
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to compare supplier options, control costs, and support data-driven purchasing decisions.
- Relevant experience in engineering or manufacturing environments, especially metals, forgings, or precision machining, is beneficial.
- A diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
