The Senior Finance Manager will lead and oversee all financial operations for a UK property business, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial support to the leadership team. The role is responsible for managing all aspects of accounting, accounts payable and receivable, budgeting, cash flow, financial reporting, tax compliance, and financial governance within a property management setting.

The successful candidate must possess extensive expertise in UK accounting standards, property accounting, and the financial management of residential and/or commercial property portfolios.

Reports To: Chief Financial Officer

Role & responsibilities

Financial Management and Reporting
- Supervise daily financial activities including licence fee collection, guardian payments, and property expenses.
- Oversee the reconciliation of guardian accounts, ensuring that licence fee income is collected and accurately recorded.
- Ensure all financial transactions are recorded in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.





Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Supervise the processing of payments to contractors, suppliers, and other service providers.
- Manage the collection of licence fee arrears and overdue accounts, coordinating with property managers and legal teams as necessary.
- Oversee tenant deposit management, ensuring compliance with local laws regarding security deposits.

Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial and tax regulations, including VAT, corporate tax, and local property tax laws.
- Assist in the preparation of documents for year end statutory accounts preparation and liaise with external auditors as required.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of property letting regulations and ensure compliance in all financial practices.

Process Improvement and Internal Controls
- Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
