About the Role

We are looking for a Junior DevOps Engineer with hands-on production experience in Microsoft Azure who also possesses a basic understanding of full-stack application architecture. The ideal candidate should be comfortable deploying, troubleshooting, and maintaining modern web applications built with technologies such as Next.js, NestJS, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Docker. Our infrastructure currently runs on Microsoft Azure, and the role also involves migrating workloads to VPS environments when required.

Responsibilities
- Deploy and manage production applications on Microsoft Azure.
- Build and maintain GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines.
- Deploy and troubleshoot Next.js, NestJS, Node.js and FastAPI applications.
- Manage Azure App Services, PostgreSQL, Redis, Storage Accounts, Key Vaults and networking resources.
- Containerize applications using Docker and Docker Compose.
- Configure Nginx reverse proxies, SSL certificates and custom domains.




- Deploy and maintain applications on Ubuntu/Linux VPS servers.
- Migrate applications from Azure to VPS environments with minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot production issues across both infrastructure and application layers.
- Monitor infrastructure, logs, application health and deployments.
- Maintain infrastructure documentation and deployment runbooks.

Required Skills
- Minimum 6 months of production experience with Microsoft Azure.
- GitHub Actions CI/CD.
- Docker & Docker Compose.
- Ubuntu/Linux server administration.
- Nginx configuration and reverse proxy.
- PostgreSQL & Redis administration.
- Basic understanding of Next.js, NestJS, Node.js and/or FastAPI deployments.
- Workplace variables, secrets management and application configuration.
- Git & GitHub workflows.
- Networking fundamentals (DNS, SSL, Firewalls, Ports, CORS).
