Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons for Classes VI–X in line with the prescribed curriculum
- Design and administer periodic tests, assignments, and assessments; evaluate and provide constructive feedback
- Prepare students for board examinations (Class X) with structured revision and practice plans
- Identify learning gaps and provide remedial support to struggling students
- Encourage logical reasoning, problem-solving, and application-based learning through activities and real-life examples
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and progress reports
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and communicate student progress effectively
- Collaborate with fellow teachers for interdisciplinary projects and school events
- Prepare students for Olympiads/Math competitions (if applicable)
- Integrate technology and smart classroom tools into teaching wherever possible
- Maintain classroom discipline and a positive learning environment
- Stay updated with curriculum changes and participate in training/workshops
Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience at the middle/secondary school level
- Freshers with strong subject knowledge and B.Ed. may also apply
Skills & Competencies
- Solid command over Mathematics concepts (Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Statistics, etc.)
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to simplify complex concepts for varied learning levels
- Patience, adaptability, and a student-centric teaching approach
- Basic proficiency in MS Office/Google Workspace and smart board tools
