Role & responsibilities
- Support the design, deployment, and maintenance of cloud data environments using GCP services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, GCS, Cloud SQL, Bigtable, and Pub/Sub.
- Develop and maintain Terraform modules for provisioning cloud resources, ensuring consistent, secure, and compliant deployments.
- Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines (batch and streaming) using Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Composer, and Pub/Sub.
- Participate in application and data integration efforts, including reviewing SQL/ETL logic and supporting CI/CD deployment processes.
- Support highavailability and disaster recovery strategies across cloud data platforms.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable cloud data solutions.
- Contribute to cloud architecture discussions, focusing on performance, cost optimization, and data governance.
- Estimate time, cost, and infrastructure needs for project requests.




- Research and recommend cloudnative technologies aligned with HCA Healthcare best practices.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual tasks and streamline operational workflows.
- Support the implementation of healthcare interoperability pipelines (HL7, FHIR, CCD, EDI) using GCP services.
- Assist in developing and testing disaster recovery plans for cloud data environments.
- Stay current with cloud technologies and contribute to migration and modernization initiatives.
- Implement automation scripts and tools to reduce manual intervention and improve operational efficiency.
- Maintain documentation for cloud data environments, pipelines, and operational procedures.
