Job Description / Responsibilities:
- Understanding of automotive electrical system, Circuit and Wiring harness design.
- Preparation of circuit schematics in CHS.
- Knowledge of circuit analysis, wire and fuse selection for vehicle functional safety and protection.
- Benchmarking, Cost Reduction and reliability tools like DFMEA, DFA, DFS, DFM
- Knowledge Wiring harness 2D drawing
- Support for making prototype vehicles, pre-production & serial production vehicles
Preferred Skills & Knowledge:
- Knowledge of design aspects for automotive circuits, wiring harness, GD&T; analysis and assembly.
- Knowledge of electrical aggregates used on automotive applications and their functions.
- Proficient in Computer aided analytical tools to assist in a faster, better and cost effective design.
CATIA V5 and CHS hands on experience is required.
- Knowledge of interfacing components to ensure system level design compatibility, robustness.
- Should have basic knowledge and fundamentals of engineering BOM.
- Experience in mechatronics systems preferred.
- Working knowledge of problem solving techniques and design optimization.
- Knowledge of verification, testing, regulatory and validation requirements.
- Reliability techniques awareness.
- Should know the regulatory / certification requirements like CMVR, AIS, and ECE etc.
- Excellent communication skills. Ability to work with cross-functional team to achieve the required functional / cost / weight /timing & quality objectives.
