We are looking for a proactive and patient-focused OPD Clinical Assistant to support the smooth functioning of the Outpatient Department (OPD). The ideal candidate should have prior OPD experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to coordinate patient consultations, provide counseling, and assist with insurance and surgical guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the day-to-day operations of the Outpatient Department (OPD).
- Coordinate and manage patient consultations with doctors.
- Provide counseling to patients regarding treatment plans, procedures, and follow-up care.
- Counsel patients on insurance processes, documentation, and approvals.
- Guide and counsel patients regarding recommended surgical procedures, including pre- and post-consultation support.
- Schedule appointments and ensure productive patient flow within the OPD.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Coordinate with doctors,
nursing staff, and other departments to ensure seamless patient care.
- Address patient queries professionally and ensure a positive patient experience.
Requirements
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in an OPD or hospital setting.
- Experience in OPD patient coordination and consultation management.
- Experience in insurance counseling and assisting patients with insurance-related processes.
- Experience in surgical counseling and patient education.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluency in English is mandatory (spoken and written).
- Proficiency in MS Office and hospital management systems is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
