Cambridge English Teacher (Primary / Lower Secondary / Secondary)

Job Purpose

To deliver high-quality English lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum, enabling students to develop excellent communication, reading, writing, speaking, listening, and critical thinking skills through inquiry-based, student-centred learning. The teacher will prepare students for Cambridge Progression Tests, Checkpoint, IGCSE, or other relevant Cambridge assessments while fostering a lifelong love for language and literature. Key Responsibilities1. Curriculum Delivery
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Cambridge English curriculum.
- Teach Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening skills.
- Develop grammar, vocabulary and language accuracy.
- Encourage creativity through stories, novels, poetry, drama and presentations.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs.
- Integrate inquiry-based and experiential learning approaches. (Cambridge English)

Lesson Planning
- Prepare annual curriculum plans, unit plans and weekly lesson plans.
- Develop learning objectives aligned with Cambridge learning outcomes.
- Create engaging classroom activities and projects.
- Use ICT and digital learning resources effectively.
- Prepare worksheets, rubrics and enrichment activities.

3. Student Assessment
- Conduct formative and summative assessments.
- Prepare question papers following Cambridge assessment standards.
- Assess Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening skills.
- Maintain assessment records and student portfolios.
- Analyse student performance and provide targeted interventions.
- Prepare students for Cambridge Checkpoint/IGCSE examinations where applicable. (LinkedIn)
