Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong expertise in Java-based automation frameworks. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in both manual and automation testing, along with a solid understanding of backend systems, Linux environments, and database testing. The role involves designing and maintaining robust test automation frameworks, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience with Karate.
- Create and execute automated test scripts using Cucumber (BDD framework).
- Perform manual and automation testing for web applications, APIs, and backend systems.
- Develop and execute test cases, test plans, and test strategies based on business requirements.
- Perform API testing using REST services and validate responses, data integrity, and performance.




- Work with SQL databases to validate data consistency, write complex queries, and perform backend validation.
- Utilize Linux/Unix environments for executing scripts, analyzing logs, and troubleshooting issues.
- Develop and maintain shell scripts for automation, deployment validation, and regression testing.
- Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and product teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
- Identify, log, and track defects, and ensure timely resolution.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Continuously improve testing processes, frameworks, and quality standards.

Core Technical Skills
- Robust experience in Java and Spring Boot for automation framework development
- Hands-on experience with Cucumber (BDD framework)
- Experience in both Manual and Automation Testing
- Strong knowledge of REST API testing and validation
