Position description: Jindal Stainless Limited, a leader in the Mining & Metals industry, is seeking an experienced qualified to lead the SMS RM- Planning department. This role demands strategic oversight and operational excellence in raw material planning and supply chain coordination to ensure seamless production processes. Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive raw material planning strategies aligned with production schedules and business objectives.
- Lead the SMS RM- Planning team to ensure accurate forecasting, procurement, and inventory management of raw materials.
- Coordinate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to optimize supply chain operations and minimize disruptions.
- Analyze market trends and raw material price fluctuations to inform strategic decision-making and cost optimization.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track planning effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies in all planning activities.
- Collaborate with senior management to align raw material planning with long-term business growth and sustainability goals.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to secure reliable and cost-effective raw material supplies.
- Utilize advanced planning tools and ERP systems to enhance data accuracy and streamline planning processes.
- Mentor and develop team members to build a high-performing and knowledgeable planning department.
