Role Overview

An Intermediate IBM MDM PIM (Collaborative Edition) Developer focuses on the hands-on configuration, development, and maintenance of the PIM platform. This role bridges the gap between senior architecture and junior execution, requiring a solid grasp of MDM CE components and the ability to work independently on core features.

Job Summary

The Intermediate Developer will be responsible for building and refining the product data hub. You will configure data models, develop complex workflows, and manage data integration scripts to ensure high-quality product information is available across all enterprise channels.

Core Responsibilities

Feature Development: Build and configure MDM CE objects including Specs (Primary/Secondary), Hierarchies, Catalogs, and Attribute Groups.
- Workflow Implementation: Design and maintain Collaboration Areas and multi-step workflows for product enrichment, validation, and approval.
- Scripting & Automation: Write and debug PIM scripts (WQL) and Java-based extensions for data validation,



mass updates, and custom business logic.
- Integration Support: Develop and monitor import/export jobs (FTP, MQ, or Web Services) to sync data with ERP, e-commerce, and vendor systems.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to the MDM UI, scheduler services, and data processing errors in a production environment.
- Data Quality: Implement validation rules and lookup tables to ensure data integrity and compliance with governance standards.

Technical Requirements
- Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on experience with IBM InfoSphere MDM Cooperative Edition (PIM).
- Java Proficiency: Strong Core Java skills for writing custom extensions and interacting with the MDM Java API.
- Database Skills: Solid SQL skills for querying and troubleshooting (DB2 or Oracle preferred).
- Scripting: Experience with WQL (Workflow Query Language) and shell scripting in a Linux/Unix environment.
