1. Job Responsibility: A Cement Mill Section Head is responsible for overseeing cement mill operations, ensuring production targets are met, optimizing mill performance, maintaining safety standards, and coordinating with other departments to achieve high reliability and product quality.
Major Responsibilities:
- Production management Ensure cement production meets daily and monthly targets. Monitor mill performance and optimize operations to achieve KPIs.
- Mill operations Oversee day-to-day cement mill functioning, including raw material feeding, grinding, and output quality.
- Quality assurance Maintain product quality according to industry norms and standards.
Conduct operational studies to improve consistency.
- Maintenance planning Plan preventive and corrective maintenance to avoid breakdowns. Ensure spare parts availability and inventory control.
- Safety compliance Ensure all safety interlocks are in place. Promote health, safety, and environmental practices including 5S and CFT.
- Team leadership Build and manage a cohesive team, provide training, and develop skills for operational excellence.
Skills & Qualifications
- Education: B.Tech/B.E. in Chemical, Mechanical, or related engineering fields.
- Experience: Typically, 914 years in cement plant operations.
- Key Skills: Plant operations, mill optimization, maintenance planning, safety management, inventory control, and team leadership
